Med Center Health offering EMS training

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Med Center Health has just opened up their EMS training class for applications.

The classes provide people the opportunity to learn life saving measures and possibly become a paramedic.

Right now, they are seeing a decrease in people becoming paramedics due to the pandemic. Many people left the healthcare industry or were discouraged from entering it.

Stephen Parrott has been an EMT since he was 19 years old…he said he couldn't imagine a better job.

"You get to help people. So if you’ve ever had a dream to help people or be in public to go out and help people then this is the career path to start at.," said Parrott.

Applications are open until the end of the month. The course will begin February 16th, with classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. The course is $1200 in total. Click here for more information.
